Veg. oil has a lot of advantages. We have partitioned it in advantages for consumer, environment and economy
Advantages for the consumer:
- vegetable oil is between 0,5 and 0,7 €/l net
- no power loss or increased consumption as with biodiesel - > partially increased power and decrease in consumption
- typical diesel sound becomes more quietly (engine runs more softly)
- higher potential engine performance, because vegetable oil needs approx. 11% less oxygen than the same quantity of diesel.
- Vehicles with electronic injection noticeable increased power
- Oxykat gets a longer lifetime (allmost no sulfur in the fuel)
- Refuel at home or in free nature (e.g. forest or on fields) is possible
Advantages for the environment:
- CO2 neutral burn, because the engine has only as much CO2-output as the plants took up before.
- water endangerment class 0
- frequently decentralized production, thereby short routes of transportation
- almost no sulfur output, thus less acid rain
- by engines with conversion kits up to 80% less output of cancer promoting materials
Advantages for the economy:
- creation of new jobs
- money remains in the region
- independence of crude oil reserves in crisis areas (2/3 of the total reserves)
- for exampel, germany could cover 15% of its diesel consumption with own vegetable oil (bio ethanol and other energies would come still to it), on the other hand germany covered only 1% of its oil need with own oil.
